Blogger problems?

It seems that some of my photos do not show up in my blog, I think only recent ones? They did just a while ago though and after uploading. I'm not sure why - will this fix itself after a while? I haven't deleted or changed anything. This is worrisome because like I've said, my blog is my notebook and I thought my experiences and products would be cataloged well this way... maybe I should worry more about how to store information.

EDIT: Ok, it seems I have to manually put the same photo from the blog photo library back. So strange. Because the photos are there and nothing has changed.

Random photo for a test.

Current Favourites

Le Couvent Maison de Parfum Cologne Botanique - Aqua Paradisi Shower Gel

The scent makes me feel like I am abroad, perhaps somewhere in Southern Europe, on a holiday... The scent is at the same time sweet and soapy. Quite unique. My partner thinks I just smell like laundry detergent when I get out of the shower. I disagree!

Giorgio Armani Sì Fiori Eau De Parfum (Mini)

This is the sweetest Si, in my opinion! I like them all but right now this one is the winner. So strong but pleasant vanilla.

Lumene Instant Glow Fresh Skin Tint in Universal Light

I want to start by saying that this shade is slightly too light for me but it's my own mistake. I took Light based on swatching the product in the store and the fact that Instant Glow Beauty Serum in Light suits me and I even tried it as a sample in Medium and it looked like too much - buuut, maybe I layered a lot and just at that moment was taken aback by looking so tan. Also the serum seems to have slightly more yellow undertone, skin tint slightly pinker (on my skin). But it is slight and they are both very sheer.

Shade aside, this Skin Tint looks so natural on skin, almost undetectable when I apply it with a wet sponge. I guess I get such an even thin layer that even Light works for me! The finish is not quite matte, but almost, skin like. It doesn't seem to break me out and wears so well. Looked good on my dry cheeks and also my oily T-zone. My skin but better? Plays well with my other products as well.

Lumene Instant Illuminizer Invisible Illumination in Midnight Sun

What do you mean, I still have my super old illuminizer?! It hasn't gone bad, so... I will keep using... Strangely, the more I've used this one and compared it to other products and shades, the more I like Midnight Sun. It is truly a natural, glow from within highlighter, and this shade just is a winner. It is still the prettiest I've seen and used. I still think the bottle is annoying and the scent a bit over the top.

Catrice Dewy-ful Lips Lip Butter in 040 Dew You Care?

Very natural lip gloss! Doesn't last for a long time but easy to add. My lips but better. I was surprised when I swatched this on my arm, I thought it would have been a lot more sheer because it doesn't add much color on lips.

Illamasqua Colour Veil in Enamour

Korento Lip & Cheek Tint in Cloudberry (sample)

I do love powder blushes but liquids/creams are new to me. Neither one works for my lips or eyelids (why are cream/liquid products always marketed as such?). But it doesn't matter because they work wonderfully as blushes. Korento's Cloudberry makes me look really tan, it's interesting! It's creamier and actually I think easier to put on. End result looks more like satin, more like my skin. Illamasqua's Enamour has a gel consistency and it dries matte. It also brings more light to my face. I actually think I'd like to have more liquid/cream blushes/highlighters because the result is somehow more natural than powder!

P.S. Currently I am testing all my lipsticks as blushes. So far only great surprises!

Korean Skincare Sample Reviews Part 7 Feat Tonymoly

Tonymoly is one of those brands I haven't taken too seriously, but after going through several of their samples, they are actually quite ok! They don't really have huge hits for me but nothing is a complete disaster either so far out of these.

Tonymoly The Chok Chok Green Tea Watery Cream

Ingredients:

Camellia sinensis leaf extract, cyclomethicone, propanediol, glycerin, glycereth-26, pentaerythrityl tetraethylhexanoate, butylene glycol dicaprylate/dicaprate, sorbitan olivate, cetearyl olivate, 1,2-hexanediol, polyacrylate crosspolymer-6, Aniba rosaeodora wood oil, Citrus limon (lemon) seed oil, polysilicone-11, phytosteryl/octyldodecyl lauroyl glutamate, disodium EDTA, ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP copolymer, 3-o-ethyl ascorbic acid.

* Tried 3 samples

* Supposed to be for normal skin

* Slight sweet scent, disappears soon

* Cream-gel consistency, quite light, white, feels like it melts on skin contact

* Absorbs fast, leaves skin nice and smooth, after about 10 minutes can't really feel the product much (Tonymoly creams quite often feel like they absorb but not completely)

* I did like this one!

Tonymoly The Chok Chok Green Tea Intense Cream

Ingredients:

Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Butylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Hydrogenated Poly(C6-14 Olefin), Pentaerythrityl Tetraethylhexanoate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Alcohol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, C9-12 Alkane, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Cetearyl Olivate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Sorbitan Olivate, Jojoba Esters, Arachidyl Alcohol, Water/Aqua, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Stearic Acid, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Sodium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Behenyl Alcohol, Dimethiconol, Trisiloxane, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Arachidyl Glucoside, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Arginine, Xanthan Gum, Trideceth-10, Disodium EDTA, Glycerin, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Camellia Sinensis Seed Oil, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Tocopherol, Beta-Glucan

* Tried 1 sample

* Supposed to be for dry skin

* Scent slightly sweet, disappears soon

* Thick white cream

* Feels nourishing but not heavy

* Weird thing is, I felt like Intense Cream absorbed as well as Watery Cream, it took a little while and I couldn't really feel it on my face anymore, even though the consistencies of these creams are very different

Tonymoly The Chok Chok Green Tea Gel Cream

Ingredients:

Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Methyl Gluceth-20, Glycereth-26, Water, Methylpropanediol, Glycerin, Propanediol, Triethyl Citrate, Butylene Glycol, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Silica, 1,2-Hexanediol, Carbomer, Tromethamine, Vinyl Dimethicone, Centella Asiatica Extract, Aniba Rosodora (Rosewood) Wood Oil, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Glyceryl Acrylate/Acrylic Acid Copolymer, Vitex Agnus-Castus Extract, Polyglyceryl-4 Oleate, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Disodium EDTA, Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Peel Oil, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, PVM/MA Copolymer, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Phellinus Linteus Extract, Arctium Lappa Root Extract.

* Tried 2 samples

* Supposed to be for oily skin

* Clear gel

* Citrus scent, zingy

* First felt like the gel just slided around and didn't absorb, then everything absorbed, felt like nothing on skin

* Maybe started to pill on itself, or it was dry flaking skin, or both together

* Too light for me alone, feels drying, but under a moisturizing sunscreen for example it is ok

Tonymoly The Black Tea London Classic Eye Cream

Ingredients:

Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Disodium EDTA, Water, 1,2-Hexanediol, Polyquaternium-51, Dipropylene Glycol, Panthenol, Glyceryl Polymethancrylate, Hydrolzed Jojoba Esters, Glycerin, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Acryates, Carbomer, Cocoa Extract, Dextrin, Cyclomethicone, Hydrogenated Polydecene, Capric Triglyceride, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Dimethionol, C14-21 Alcohols, C12-20 Alkyl Glucoside, Jojoba Esters, Tromethamine, Niacinamide, Adenosine, Sunflower Seed Oil, Bergamot Fruit Oil, Tea Tree Leaf oil, Citric Acid, Caprylhydroxamic acid, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid.

* Tried 1 sample

* Scent is like the rest of the Black Tea range; a bit sweet, disappears soon

* Thick cream, almost balmy

* Feels very soft and nourishing, very moisturizing

* Absorbs somewhat but not completely, leaves creamy/oily residue so not sure how this works under eye make up, maybe better for night time use?

* I could use more of this! Paired with retinol treatment for eye contour for example

Tonymoly Vital Vita 12 Synergy Cream

Ingredients:

Aqua, panthenol (vitamin B5), cyclopentasiloxane, C13-15 alkane, glycerin, caprylic/capric triglyceride, cetyl ethylhexanoate, niacinamide (vitamin B3), cetearyl alcohol, dimethicone, hydrogenated poly(C6-14 olefin), polysorbate 60, butylene glycol, sorbitan isostearate, hydroxyacetophenone, polyacrylate-13, pentylene glycol, PEG-20 glyceryl isostearate, acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, xanthan gum, tromethamine, polyisobutene, Citrus limon (lemon) fruit oil, Centella asiatica extract, ethylhexylglycerin, 1,2-hexanediol, Portulaca oleracea extract, adenosine, disodium EDTA, Citrus aurantium bergamia (bergamot) fruit oil, tocopheryl acetate (vitamin E), diglycerin, dimethicone/vinyl dimethicone crosspolymer, Chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower extract, Melia azadirachta leaf extract, Vitex agnus-castus extract, polysorbate 20, Melia azadirachta flower extract, Curcuma longa (turmeric) root extract, glyceryl acrylate/acrylic acid copolymer, squalane, Olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, Citrus aurantium dulcis (orange) peel oil, Cananga odorata flower extract, Arctium lappa root extract, Cymbopogon schoenanthus extract, Hamamelis virginiana (witch hazel) extract, Phellinus linteus extract, Silkworm cocoon extract, octyldodecanol, PEG-35 castor oil, alcohol, sodium starch octenylsuccinate, calcium pantothenate, Aesculus hippocastanum (horse chestnut) seed extract, Ocimum sanctum leaf extract, maltodextrin, sodium ascorbyl phosphate (vitamin C), Copaifera officinalis (balsam copaiba) resin, Corallina officinalis extract, lecithin, cymbopogon martini oil, pyridoxine HCL, Pelargonium graveolens flower oil, tocopherol, Salvia sclarea (clary) oil, Citrus nobilis (mandarin orange) peel oil, silica, retinyl palmitate (vitamin A), linoleic acid (vitamin F), inositol (vitamin B8), biotin (vitamin H), glyceryl arachidonate, glyceryl linolenate, pyridoxine (vitamin B6), folic acid (vitamin B9), thiamine hcl (vitamin B1), cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12).

* Tried 2 samples

* A slight scent, Tonymoly like, if you know what I mean? Can't really say what it smells like, it's so faint and disappears soon.

* Seeing this cream is "vital cream" and has panthenol as a second ingredient, I thought it would have been thick or balmy. But it's not, it is very light cream. But it doesn't seem to absorb completely and takes its time. I feel it's probably not good under makeup. It kind of stays on top of the skin despite mostly absorbing.

* Later started pilling when I touched my face.

* I applied on top of a hyaluronic acid serum, and it is so-so if the cream is moisturizing enough.

* Tried 1 sample

* Scent was the same as the essence but a lot stronger and it didn't disappear, it kept lingering around for 2 hours or so, nothing expensive feeling about this one

* Very, very moisturizing

* Left skin sticky and heavy, the product didn't really absorb, but skin felt very plump

* Could imagine this one as a sleeping mask - but it will transfer on pillow

Korean Skincare Sample Reviews Part 6 Feat Sunscreens

I had completely forgotten I got sunscreen samples a long time ago with a purchase. I was too afraid of trying them back then! But better now than never before they all go bad.

* Tried 5? samples

* Scent light, a bit like citrus and glue

* White cream

* Zero white cast, absorbs easily

* I don't feel that this one would be moisturizing really

* Leaves skin shiny, but not as shiny/greasy as Tonymoly My Sunny All in One.

* Started to pill when I tried to apply liquid highlighter on top.

* Quite pleasant sunscreen overall! If you are not planning on using makeup on top. I guess good for those lazy days at home? Easy to put on, easy to wash off. Didn't even burn my eyes because it's not hot and I wasn't sweating at all. Didn't notice any new breakouts other than usual.

* Tried 1 sample

* My sample must be expired despite the expiration date being 2020

* This sunscreen looks like light cream when I googled, but my sample was more like grainy gel, must have separated

* Scent of expired sample is fresh and light, I like it

* When I tried it on my hand it left a glowy sheen

* Zero white cast

* Discontinued item so maybe even pointless to make myself a note of this one!

* Tried 1 sample

* Expiration is also 2020, but sample seems to be ok

* The same light and fresh, maybe slightly sweet scent as the other The Face Shop sunscreen

* Tinted beige

* Regular cream consistency, feels nourishing though

* Leaves a white cast like you would expect when there's Zinc Oxide. I assume there's about 1 ml of product in one sample sachet and I put it all on. If I would put on less, like 0,5 ml of product, I believe I wouldn't have a white cast issue, but then I also wouldn't have that much sun protection.

* Leaves some sheen on skin, satin like finish. Hides imperfections, blurs skin. I quite like the finish. At the end of the day my face was matte. But I had developed 2 new small pimples.

* I could consider using this sunscreen again. I had never really looked into TFS products before.

TONYMOLY My Sunny All-in-One Sun UV Protection SPF45 PA+++

Ingredients:

Water, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Glycerin, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), 4-Methylbenzylidene Camphor, Butyl Methoxydibenzolymethane, Cyclohexasiloxane, Butylene Glycol, Neopentyl Glycol Diheptanoate, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Octocrylene, Polymethyl Methacrylate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Water, Anthemis Nobilis Flower Water, Prunus Mume Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Codium Tomentosum Extract, Enteromorpha Compressa Extract, Macrocystis Pyrifera (Kelp) Extract, Ecklonia Cava Extract, Gelidium Cartilagineum Extract, Laminaria Japonica Extract, Nymphaea Alba Flower Extract, Chamaecyparis Obtusa Leaf Extract, Viscum Album (Mistletoe) Fruit Extract, Vanilla Tahitensis Fruit Extract, Sansevieria Trifasciata Leaf Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Triceteareth-4 Phosphate, Glycol Stearate, Silica, Potassium Cetyl Phosphate, PEG-2 Stearate, Tromethamine, Acrylates Copolymer, Glyceryl Caprylate, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Caprylyl Glycol, Acrylates / C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Dimethicone, Polydecene, Dipropylene Glycol, Sodium Palmitoyl Proline, Squalane, Coco-Glucoside, Ethylhexylglycerin, Acetyl Tetrapeptide-15, Cetearyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol, Sorbic Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Dehydroacetic acid, Sodium Benzoate, Fragrance (Parfum), Iron Oxides (CI-77492), Iron Oxides (CI-77491).

* Tried 2 samples

* Perfume scent, but not bad or suffocating, quite strong

* Ever so slightly pink tinted

* Regular cream consistency

* Feels moisturizing

* Leaves my skin shiny and greasy

* When I dumped everything in the sample sachet (1 ml?) on my face, I was surprised how strong the white cast was in the beginning, considering there is no Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide is also a bit lower on the list! I had to rub it in a lot and in the end there was still a white cast, but minimal - I have no idea how much cream got rubbed off into my hands etc. When I used the second sample half and half, it was nice with no white cast and no need to rub in for a long time but still greasy.

* During the day I had developed 3 new small pimples.
