I try to mark the sunscreen ingredients in red and other possible irritants in lilac. Ingredients thought to be good and useful for skin I mark green.  Learning as I go, google is my friend etc...

Thoughts:

Leaves skin squeaky clean, which probably means it's a high pH drying cleanser/scrub and/or it has enough tea tree oil to create the effect

Definitely could make skin dry if used almost every day but it is not suggested by The Body Shop either

The scrub does everything it promises to do, but it's not a wow item and I don't think it makes much difference whether I use it or not

Even though it leaves skin squeaky clean, it is exactly what it promises to do, so it's a plus it lives up to the expectations at least!

Kind of pleasant to use, it has these little scrub beads and the scrub foams gently and it rinses off clean

Pleasant kind of tea tree scent in my opinion but it is still very much like tea tree, if you happen to dislike the smell altogether

Leaves skin kind of soft, not silky soft, more like purified, scrubbed soft

The scrub is not long-term drying when used a couple of times a week as the instructions suggest

It's not breaking me out

100 ml will last for a long time as you really need very little of the product as it spreads and foams so well. It does not make any difference to use more.

* I like tea tree products. I got a small set of The Body Shop Tea Tree products as a gift some time ago and this scrub was among them. I had forgotten it but found it in my stash and been using it for 2-4 months maybe? Enough to put down some thoughts.

I haven't tried too many scrubs before, something from Neutrogena, it did work quite nicely because I didn't use anything else exfoliating back then. So, I bet Tea Tree Squeaky Clean Scrub delivers different results for everyone.

Price:

14,50 € / 100 ml

Bought from:

Got as a gift

Buy again?

No. But still would use if someone gifted me one.

Worth the money?

For how long the product lasts and how I find it pleasant to use, I'd say yes, but on the other side, if we look at the effectiveness it does pretty much nothing for me, in good and bad. But I will finish the scrub which will take probably a year or two at my pace! Maybe I'll start to use it on my feet and armpits as well. The Tea Tree Squeaky Clean Scrub is definitely something aimed at oily skin, ok for combination skin, probably not disastrous for dry skin either if used once in a while but still would not recommend it.
