I try to mark the sunscreen ingredients in red and other possible irritants in lilac. Ingredients thought to be good and useful for skin I mark green.  Learning as I go, google is my friend etc...

Thoughts:

Sad things first, I have started to wonder if these products actually break me out a little: I feel like I always have more bumps etc going on when I wear make up. I never noticed before, just now that I have switched so many of my products around and my skin is generally in a better shape

I don't think the cc cream holds very well on my nose area that is the oiliest, even with powder, after about 4-6 hrs it starts to slide a bit, possibly gets blotchy, depending on the day or sweating

The tube gets messy because the nozzle seems to leak the product inside the lid no matter how you store it, gets worse the older the product is (maybe the cream is getting expired and changes form to even more liquid?)

- I don't think the cream can be layered much, the end result gets a bit weird

- They are not for hiding lots of skin imperfections or anything, they just make the skin more smooth and even

I don't think they offer any skincare benefits, not that I have noticed at least: like I said, my skin looks and feels better when I haven't worn them. Difference is very noticeable after a week of having them on for 10-12 hrs every day, or not!

I think the color of cc cream is spot on for me, yellow based

The consistency of it is quite light, spreads well, blends well to skin, no need to spend a long time fussing with it

Because it blends so well, I can just put it on my T-area or just a little on my nose and it doesn't show or look bad, but also a full face doesn't look cakey or heavy

The result is quite natural with this cc cream, not shiny, but not powdery

The cc powder is very natural too, actually it's even more of a winner for me than the cream in some sense: it works on its own or with any primer or foundation, the color is very universal and it goes for both warm and cool undertones

The powder can give a very natural look when applied with a brush, but still matteish; with a sponge/brush combination you get a very matte finish that has surprisingly good lasting power!

I actually use the powder to prime and set my eye make up, too, and it hasn't failed me yet (well, not badly, I've had smudging after 10 hrs when I've had a long day)

+ The powder and cream do not irritate or dry my skin, also they don't make me oily

+ CC Cream has some SPF

+ They last a long, long time, powder maybe half a year and the cream a year? Yes, I've become lazy with make-up but I'll try to be better in the future

+ Again the same old mantra: easily available everywhere and doesn't cost an arm and a leg

* I included both the old and new ingredient lists after a small reformulation just to keep track, this review is based on old ones as I just bought the new formulations and only opened the powder

I have used Lumene's CC products for years now, ever since I tried them the first time, quite soon after the release

I think the old and new color "light" is basically the same (despite the line getting more colors)

I don't think the cream oxidises, not noticeably at least, but I have just recently realized that it could happen so haven't really paid attention

I should try more products from Lumene now, after all they have never truly disappointed me and I've tried quite a many things from foundations to lipglosses ever since I was a teenager, but never any skincare! I just think most of them (the interesting ones, not the basic range or nordic girl or whatever the new line is called) are a tad overpriced... maybe the next -20 % sale gets me!

Price:

Both around 15 €, but quite often on sale for 10 €

Bought from:

Supermarket

Buy again?

Maybe. Despite both the powder and cream being my long-time friends, I have started to question, that maybe I should find something better. My skin has changed throughout the years, so at least trying something different is a good call. How can I know otherwise if anything better even exists!

Worth the money?

For me, yes, these products have saved me many times. They are versatile and there's nothing wrong with them. Price-quality ratio is excellent.
